Brilliant idea, what dimensions do you use to get the cubic mtr spot on ? if you dont mind me asking.

Well it's currently patented! My father in law is a mathematician! So hear goes

LENGHT X RADIUS X RADIUS X PIE

RADIUS = 1/2 the diameter. So to work out a cubic meter you.....sod it I'll send the measurement.

I've got the measurement of the length of stock fence written down in the shed, I'll post it tomorrow evening. All you need to do is cut the correct length cut and join with cable ties or just wire together then using fencing staples just nail it to the pallet in four or five places. In fairness I've seen firewoodman using it but had seen it previously stuffed with brash and straw to create nesting habitat for birds.

i don't mean to be picky but are you sure they're a m3?

i make some pallet cages with stock fencing on 1.2m x 1m pallets and they are 0.96 m3.

For a round cage of wire to be a m3, the diameter would need to be 1.28m.

HOw'd you get them cages square mate? i normally have a nightmare when trying to make them myself and get some crap round/square mess of a cage:lol:

The wood definitely helps to hold its shape. I had a few turn a bit rounder in shape without the wooden frame but tbh I'm going to stop using them.

Now they're empty they're a pain because they won't stack on top of each other and end up in a mangled mess.

IBC's are the way forward for me... Especially as I've got a free supply :-)
