Spent the day driving around today, hours drive to the customers pick up his trailer hours drive to coppards to pick up the stump grinder hour back, grind the stump down 2 feet then an hour back to coppards, hour back to drop of the trailer then an hour home, and he complains that I've charged traveling time.

Well I'm not picking it up for free cheeky bugger :001_tongue:

You used the customers trailer to pick up the stump grinder for your job and you charged him for the time??

Perhaps you should have said nothing about the journey time and put a bit more money on the grinding job to cover the time spent faffing around?! If you know what I mean

Mate, you're either someone's bitch or your not. If you work for yourself, you need to do all the arranging etc. Put money on the cost of the hire rather than charge travelling time- looks better.
