I'm looking to buy a climning harness but i don't want one that is going to cut off the circulation to my legs, so can anyone recommend a nice comfy harness?

cheers

The 'comfort' of a harness depends on the fit between the harness and the wearer.

There are so many variables that recommending a harness would be like recommending a good pizza topping.

Do you have a chance of trying other people's harnesses?

I think that the willans harnesses are very good, I have tried a few different ones like the komet butterfly harnesses and others but for the money, comfort and practability I recommend the willans. I never have the leg loops pulled tight and always avoid hanging in my harness unless i have to, so when you say you dont want the harness to cut the blood supply off to your legs- you might want to try changing your technique, just rest and lean back in your harness rather than hanging. hth matt

Cheers for the advice, i have been looking at the prices and i have noticed that the willans harness is considerable cheaper than the other harnesses. Andd im not the quickest person at getting up the trees so it tends to hurt a little but ill give your technique a go.:001_smile:

i used to use a willans for avwhile and liked it and still do use it occasionally, but tried a komet dragonfly with the semi-rigid seat and then bought one it was that comfortable. i wouldn't go back...the padding in the willans is to bulky and restrictive. they are good tho and if your on a budget they're great, if you do get a willans try and get the clip leg and waist belts as they make getting in and out a lot easier! you need to go some where and try a few. last time i was at honey bros they had a little set up in the back you could try the harness's out on and get a feel for them!
