can i supply wetter wood !! ????

There isn't a head office or anything like that, it's just a guy that owns the pub. I'm guessing it's because he doesn't want to constantly be feeding the fire if the wood is dry so he would rather stick a load of coal on to keep it going and then as you say stick wood on there for the olde worlde effect rather than for heat!

I wouldn't risk my reputation by supplyin wet wood...if customer has a chimney fire and house burns down where would that leave you? As I'm damn sure the customer would slate you and your wood down to the ground.May sound far fetched but always best to air on side of caution

I sold 10 cubic metres of lovely dry softwood to a posh hotel, but for some reason they insisted on stacking it outside against the wall of the building (probably blocking air bricks), and without any sort of cover.

 

Seemed a waste of good wood :confused1:
