There are no statistics on chainsaw injuries in this country. no-one collects them. It's all hear say and fable.

 

you would think there would b some sort of statistics like, chainsaws are just as dangerous as cars they just dont make as much devistation when is goes wrong ???

i also use fire arms and shotguns, everyone is ranting and raving about them but the chainsaw is just as deadly but without the range

 

Range? that depends on whether somebody decides to fire one at you with a trebuchet.

 

given your penchant for doing laurel and hardy stunts on the jobsite and generally maiming yourself, please dont handle firearms in my presence. It was bad enough going duck hunting with Dick Cheyney....

I beg to differ Jason.

Although not possessing an encyclopeadic knowledge on the subject, I have come across a wealth of annual statistical annalysis compiled by the HSE.

 

R.I.D.D.O.R is becoming particularly robust, possibly not comprehensive admittedly, I'd imagine a fair number of occurances get under the radar.

 

But stats are being recorded, and are industry specific.

 

Quote "...the HSE consider climbing Arborists to run an annual risk of 1/120 of serious injury"

 

 

In bold as this fact needs to be absorbed by us all, green or hardened.

ok so because i have had 2 stupid accidents i am now stereo typed as being unsafe. never judge a book by its cover folks. i have been shooting for years. you guy seem to forget im not a silly wee boy, im quite the opposite. for my age i am quite mature and grown up,my age being 23, i am also a parent so i have no option but to be a bit more mature and grown up
