You don't really have specific milling bars 48".

The Stihl 47" ones are ok but the solid nose on them does sap some power (I have one second hand only done 2 hours work for £130-00+vat).

The GB ones are good £225-00 heavy and solid - sprocket nose

Cannon are also good £245-00 - sprocket nose

What saw do you have?

Thanks for the advice. Gave cannon a call today but was told only the standard Super Bar was available. So leaves me with two options the GB or the Cannon. Any suggestions to which is tougher? I am hesitant in spending this much so needs to last.

They are both very good bars but bear in mind milling with this size bar in big wood is tough on all components compared to using smaller bars.

The cannon bars a little lighter than the GB ones and are perhaps a little more flexible. Durability wise they are about the same as each other in my experience.
