but in our ever sunnier summers you will find that the netting is not UV and will deteriorate in about 1 month of good sun if you are like us and process through the summer, we tried similar large mesh nets and these fall apart through uv

Is that true of the baler twine. I use it on my mini round baler and have bales over 6 year old which are still in perfect condition. It has become a problem as unlike sisal it will not rot down in the compost heap.

We use bale net which stands up to uv just fine. The net is good for at least 2 years, but it rarely gets that long before getting cut down again:thumbup:

takes yrs and yrs for baler twine to rot down... i'm still pulling string out ground with cultivator... the straws not been baled on that field for over ten yrs and its not had any muck on it in longer...[you get string on field from loose bales etc when balein or in muck when you spread.] and the string has no sign of detirioratin anytime soon..
