put the bar and chain from a 200 on the 201 yesterday and it made it a lot better. still feels a tad underpowered though

Are the bars different between the 201 and the 200?

I was given one of those new full chisel chains to run on my ms200t. I am not a fan however it still cut better than the ms201t I tried. I don't think this saws probs can be put down to the bar and chain. I'm going to get me another 200t before they are all gone:001_smile:

I can only call it as I see it and I have to disagree with most. My 201 is far better than the old 200 I was using. Feels lighter, starts easier, uses less fuel and has enough power to do what I ask it. Got it from Jonsie and it has been great from day 1. Only use a 12 inch bar and don’t try and to cut more than it is cabable of. I switch to a bigger saw (260) when appropriate which is usually on the way down once the stem gets about 8 - 10 inches thick.

when subbing at the weekend for a firm i was still dug in deep with the 14" bar on a 16" stem on a sycamore takedown with the 200t then went to the 064 then felled when it was small enough to fit into a gap
