And er.. some more.

Sequoia giants! The largest of which lay on the ground. But the biggest standing ones are 3000 years old. While we were there, there was a controlled burn. A felling crew were making safe for the burn crews, some big timber came down. Wow! what a crash!

Yosemite valley is stupid beautiful! I was crying with..I don't even know what emotion I felt as we came round the bend and saw el cap, bold as brass just sitting there, a KM high and gorgeous. Highly recommend California. The people are great too. Shot a few nutty guns in Nevada, but that's another story, So's the one in the mexican strip joint.

Nice pics jason... i did a 12500 mile road trip around the US in 1997, over a 6month period. Saw some fantastic sights but unfortunately didnt get to the redwoods... I did climb and camp in Joshua tree nat. park for 8 days though (I was travelling with 2 climbing instuctors) It was all pre digital for me in those days so all the pics are the old type. Look like you had a great trip - I would love to get back out to Cali and Oregon to see the redwoods and Sequioa's.

cheers again for the insight.:sneaky2:
