what is the advantages of that on an ipad steve?

Well if your connection isnt very fast it will be quicker for one....but mostly it is easier to navigate with a touch screen. I find navigating websites a bit of a pain with ipads, particularly when there are small links that you have to zoom the screen to so you can touch them accurately.

I agree Steve can be a bit of a pain, and I found that when using Arbtalk through safari sometimes you can't delete in a post you have to submit then edit.

It will allow you to upload pictures, which Safari won't let you. The "Browse..." button is disabled preventing you from uploading
