Rope Wrench feedback

Used the wrench today to remove major deadwood from a pinus radiata. Choked my top anchor with a bowline on a bight straight onto the rope. Was a bitch to pull out afterwards, pretty much had to footlock on it to get it down. Will be trying the locked off ring idea drew posted a while back next time, should be a bit less friction. All in all it worked really nicely. Didnt even have to redirect as most of the deadwood was on the trunk. Used a rope rocket to ascend. Love it.

hey ben, if you use the ring idea and your going to be doing a few redirects, i chuck a pinto on the crab to make the retrieval a bit smoother..

Can you get some more photos of this ring setup i think i have it sussed but need some more confirnation

So im going to try this knot out tomorrow it was invented by Sam Cooper and is called the Super Cooper i think. looks like there should be no binding problems and there is a video of it on drt on youtube somewhere.

Picture is taken by Aaron Johns

Wouldn't this hitch produce alot of sit back and possibly be hard to tend as there is alot of distance to cover before the pulley hits a substantial part of the knot to advance it
