I purchased a 1996 130 earlier this year, tbh I paid more than I should have but was getting a bit fed up with trying to find one as it had to be a 300tdi, I paid £5200 for it but it had a recon box, transfer box and front diff, it's going through exactly what you are doing, engine is rebuilt, rear diff is rebuilt, and i'm now starting to put it back together (very slowly) I am making a demountable camper and dropside body system made for it eventually, just a word of caution, make sure that the 130 is a 3500kg version as I have come across a few that aren't also be carefull who you get the galv chassis from, richards chassis are not (or weren't) type approved and are completely different to the original in the way it is manufactured.

As usual the week after I bought mine another came up for less :(

What's the relevance of type approval?

If ever you were involved in a serious accident a vehicle inspector would probably easily realise it isn't an official land rover chassis which could lead to all sorts of insurance issues, not worth the agro it could cause imo, hence I went with one that is produced by the land rover supplier.
