a crown thin that takes a day will cost the same as a dismantle that takes a day.

the only average cost you can determine is day rates. around east anglia it's between £300-500 for 2 men teams. still quite vague!

Im just hitting this a stab in the dark but would it sound about right?

The employer has a high sided lorry and the chipper is broke :001_tt2:

Tree to be dismantled to the ground.

Living reasonably locally to job.

Full day

Lorry - Already owned

Chipper (did this as renting the chipper for the day) £120

1 Climber @ £9 p/hour coming in at £81

2 Groundsmen @ Minimum wage around £108

Petrol + Mix - £8.00

Ive heard of tree surgery companies charging £25-30 per man for one hour.

So for 3 men you're going to charge £810 plus your running costs at £317 so final price is £1127 cash in hand (though £1352 with VAT)

If i have this wrong i do apologise, i dont own a business

It's obvious that you don't own a business from those unrealistic figures! Unless your irony has been lost on me.
