All good advice...

#Trust your kit

#Know its in good nick

#Know its the right kit for the job

#Rely on your knowledge of trees and the biomechanics of trees

#Do one task at a time and work to a plan

#Most important of all... get yourself a song! I always get Prodigy and 'Minefields' going round and round, love it!

Nice pictures Joe, the Scarlet Oaks look great in the middle distance... didn't know you had your CS38 booked though!!!?

The fear factor quickly subsides when you get used to climbing, but a little bit of fear is healthy, it means you check your rope and knots and carabiners.

I subconciously whistle a little tune whenever I'm a tad bit nervous or feeling a little unsafe. I don't ever notice I'm doing it at the time but my groundie does, he calls it my thinking whistle.

i find if i'm out on a bendy stem it makes me slightly nervous so it sharpens your senses that bit more.

i always find that putting my earplugs in helps me concentrate more on the real thin stuff, cuts out the other crap.
