Was listen to bbc radio 4 today and the food programme was all about fungi, and mostly about foraging for mushrooms in the new Forrest and law regarding it.

Get a listen to it on i player while your browsing arbtalk, they where talking about Chicken of the wood and it's wholesale value. Interesting stuff for those who are into the fungi.

I am always in two minds with discussing the fungi, on one hand there is the desire to share and promote the most amazing things, then there is the desire to keep quiet and leave them in peace.

They where discussing that to. And the for and against arguments. The only legal forager of the new Forrest was discussing the benefits of picking. While comparing it to what it would be if the Forrest was still full of wild animal which ate most them as part of there diet.

I am not convinced either way but they had a bit of a point.

David,

Or G. abietinum ? Not enough developed to be certain about one of these three G. species.

Again with the undeveloped fungi:thumbdown: seems to be a habit of mine that. Oh well never mind its all in my very slow learning curve. Too many fungi and not enough memory!

Why are you jealous Hama? is it a rare one?
