Well i just went and bought 80ton of scots pine. Not an ideal situation but i think come jan/feb people will take whatever is available. im pretty much sold out of hardwood and its already been a record year even with another 5 months of selling to go. ths past week i have had close to a dozen calls from people whose usual suppliers have sold out..quite a desperate situation. is anyone else resorting to selling softwood?

So the chimney sweeps keep plenty of work, it seems.

well see theres the key.....burn softwood, make sure you get your chimneys cleaned more regular.

people literally are not going to have any choice, the hardwood simply isnt there in this country, particularly with the increased installations of woodburning stoves.

i had one customer call me the other day, when i told him that i was sold out of wood he replied "but the company who fitted the stove told me i could buy wood anywhere" ti which i laughed and replied "who did you say told you that?" then the penny dropped
