hi im a student studying arb and im struggling with footlocking i can do it with a srt but with a double line its a bit harder and suggestions :confused1:

 

Nope-after 12 yrs climbing-still can't do it-FKIT an used a petzl footaccender instead

Do you mean footlocking the tail of your climbing rope as opposed to a fixed single line?

 

Find a video on t'internet and watch carefully, then try to repeat exactly. It does take lots of practice though.

I find that if I put a knot in the two ropes, a few inches off the ground it puts a bit of weight on the rope and holds them together for the first few metres .

 

 

Thats a good idea, i'll give that a go.
