Disrespect

Why on earth do people think it is acceptable to use a cemetery as a dog walking area?

I couldn't,t believe what I was seeing today working at the side of a really well looked after cemetery, dogs peeing on headstones and crapping on graves, most picked it up , but to

Me the act of allowing you dog to pee or crap in a grave yard is totally unacceptable

I can understand your attitude and beief that it's disrespectful but I'd be inclined to be in favour of the dog walkers..so long as they are picking up. Dog walkers carry out a fantastic policing of fields and grounds, spend more time outdoors than casual passers-by and thereby act as deterrants for vandals and the like.

It's the dog that's doing the pee-ing and the dog is hardly able to understand the concept of respect and more than the bird overhead that drops a suprise..and when your dog has to go it has to go...

The problem with many graveyards is that people don't visit them and miss out on the diversity of plants and wildlife abiding there...

No....I'm sorry.

I have two gundogs and have had and trained dogs to a high standard all my life.

People who walk their dogs in graveyards are ignorant and disrespectful.

How would you feel if your kid passed away, you went to put flowers on the grave and saw a dog owner allowing his dog to pish on your childs head stone ?

Please....think about it !!

If I personally was going to my child's grave with flowers and god forbid I will ever need to. And saw a dog owner allow his dog to piss while on a lead I would kick his and the dogs hole.

If the dog was off the lead then the owner would be told to have a bit of respect. And have more sense, then it all depends who is walking the dog if it was a kid then sometimes they just don't think.

There is no harm IMO in walking your dog in a graveyard as long as you are responsible it's a public place after all.

Dean your Spot On. The need for anyone to walk their dogs thru a grave yard show total disregard and respect for ones final resting place. I do not believe I have ever seen this at a grave yard here and even when I visit my family in Maryland have never seen it as well. If I did I would politely ask the person and their pet to leave. If they decided to stay instead, I would remove the pet and than since the owner would be freaking out by that time have the owner follow me off the property as well. Problem solved.

Try and not let your emotions run wild.

Sorry Mark

A graveyard is a public place, it is also Hallowed ground and should be respected as such.

I am not religous, I dont go to church unless I'm getting married, but I do know where to draw the line with respect

No excuses here at all
