My understanding of situation is that we were asked/told to stop using them before but this is the requirement to stop selling them in EEC countries, their wording ‘prohibit the placing on the market’

Shame, the one they mention that uses chainsaw chain was an awesome attachment- my mate brought one back from italy a few years ago. It was phenomenal!

We had a better one than that a few years back and it actually had a chainsaw chain on a round bar., believe it was called a beaver?, any way it seems to have had a nasty habit of breaking and flying off at a high rate of speed, not good on the receiving end!

Just spotted this = piece of kit in question was a Brogio flail head

 

very effective piece of kit in clearing overgrown ditches, woodlamd, brambles, etc, etc

 

But bloody lethal!! - as proved to be the case!

 

In use this thing sent stones and chunks of glass flying in all directions, absolutly shredding cans into deadly flying shards.

 

Best off the market in my opinion.
