NFU wanted £830 from me this year (up from £600) for my single cab Hilux. I have 8 years No Claims too.

 

I switched to Adrian Flux who charged me £530.

 

One thing worth pointing out is that Adrian Flux don't cover tippers.

The thing with some of these cheeper insurance companies is that they dont always do their job as a insurance company when you actually need them.

 

A lad who works for me had his car stolen over a year ago and is still fighting in court to get paid out,

 

I had a defender stolen about 4 years ago and received a cheque from the NFU with in 2 weeks of it being stolen.

what risk? what did you put yourself down as?

 

I think the category that came up was 'tree surgeon' or was that on another site? Many years no claims too!

 

Got back to NFU and asked them if they could match a quote of £350 on an L200 (they wanted £590 to renew) and after a couple of calls back they offered me £385. So local office and good service etc means they won the day.
