Yes Steve but my point is to tow commercially or for hire n reward a tachograph has been needed in the towing vehicle since 1997! I realise it adds a thousand quid to the price but I assume Petes old rodeo has a tacho and just wondered what had changed to put Pete off a new rodeo with tacho as digi tacho kits are readily avliable for the rodeo and if your used to tachos a change to digi aint that bigger deal.

You assumed correctly

See below.

That and the fines for misuse, sheer hassle and a restriction of my working hours and having to keep yet more records of what I do day, night and weekends.

I think we all know about the tacho laws. But when you buy a new vehicle you tend to leave the old stuff in the old truck. So whether its got one or not I dont think he wants the hassle again. Even a digi one will set you back £800 . I cant remember all the sad guff that goes with this stupid bit of regulation but if you keep under a certain gross train weight you dont need it.

Hey Matt, I love the Rodeo but I shoved 60k GBP through that in the 5 plus years and hardly towed more than 1500kgs so why have it when the restricter is in the cab applies for less than a QuadChip? I don't want to pay the "Perk" tax but then I don't want to be restricted or have a high fuel bill either. Rock and hard place springs to mind!

that makes a lot of sense Pete, so well we still be able to recognise you driving around in a Hyundai?

Of course you'll recognise me - it too will be sign written and I'm getting fatter and balder!

I might see you at the next Charnwood do Matt, that is if I get 16 thro the ticket!

Now that the whole tachograph thing is sorted does anyone want to answer what the op was about?

Pete is it you that's selling it or the company and take it there will be vat on the sale?

Posted

Morning Mark, it's not mine, it's GreenMech's, so vat will be added. But then, if it is a business purchase then vat can be recovered. I'll do some research today on prices and see what happens.

Cheers Pete thought that was the case, just interested to see what it go's for a friend just bought one with high miles on a 05.

Lovely motor in a lot of ways, I have a feeling you will miss her when she go's as I was very impressed with it.
