Any tips/advice on felling large trunks?(double guide bar)

 

Cuts never seem to be perefect and looks untidy :thumbdown:

 

Tree always goes where i want it to tho.

smaller saw to make some guide marks for the larger bar to sit in? i usually scar the back with the chain to make a guideline for the back cut so it can be followed from both sides

 

Yeh i do that too.I guess not holding the saw level.

I have always found if i think too much i mess it up :thumbdown: I have the same trouble ever thought about trying a lazyboy handle?

As long as it lands in the right place what's the issue?

 

It's an issue when you want control .

Hinge is key so if you have cuts that don't meet up, you might have to cut more of the hinge as the wedges or natural lean that you are using is getting restricted.

sharp even saw, that's cutting straight and practice.:)
