I'm not sure what I think on this one. I am anal about grammar, and have been for quite a while, I correct people in my head all the time, and occasionally I will say something. Its not always good. I think that if we make it "ok" for people to be shamefully bad at grammar/spelling we might as well give up. Therefor I think we should try and point out bad grammar and spelling, to help those people. I realise I sound like an arse, I deleted this and started again about 3 times to try and tone down my arseness, but hey ho. If it becomes cool to be good at spelling, then people will make the effort.

"If a man tells you you're a horse, punch him in the mouth. If a second man calls you a horse, swear at him. But if a third man calls you a horse, well, maybe it's time to buy a saddle."

I know it isn't that easy for some people, but I genuinely think that it is for most.

But I'm guessing you would not point it out in order to cause humiliation, which is fine in my book. :001_smile:

Not unless they are mates, and we have far more offensive banter than that anyway!

It goes both ways. I really good mate of mine studies history at oxford, but still says "innit" to me just to wind me up :001_rolleyes:
