201t revving but chain not wanting to move?

Hey, basically I want to know if any of you guys know of a simple cure for this. When the saw is started, and you hold the throttle down the chain doesn't move for a while, originally this can be up to 5 to10 seconds. Once it's warmed up there is still a lag but it's now just a couple of seconds.

This is a brand new saw, ive checked to see if the sprocket has anything blocking it but it doesn't.

Thanks

Alright it was a long shot, brand new saw you say, take it back to the shop.

I ordered it of fr jones. Really great company, but the drive to London and then not having a topper for a while don't seem appealing. Was hoping it was a simple tuning problem?

They have a good reputation on here; probably tomorrow one of their employees will offer a solution, sorry to waste your time, its just that the wife is watching the X-Factor

and I hate it!

Sounds like an issue with the clutch taking up. Have you taken the sprocket off? If you see signs of oil or 'glazing' on the clutch bearing faces, or of heavy scuffing on the inside of the drum then that could be the cause. If it's oil then a good solvent flush should fix it (assuming it's from assembly, not a leak). Otherwise, pictures needed, or send it back under warranty?

Mine does the exact same thing sam. Its maybe a tuning issue....i havent taken mine back for a tune up since new but i think it does need a tweak which im hoping fixes this

Fain enough.don't wanna bore you, but do you find it bogs down really easily as well. I was cutting up a pallet for a fire and found it kept getting jammed up.
