I have to admit I am not really into this FB thing, just like Spud.

But I was at an AL-KO UK meeting last week, where it was discussed. Apparently AL-KO Austria are telling the UK that the way forward in business is via business FB pages. It is apparently counting for a large percentage of sales in Europe, but the UK is a bit slow.

They are pushing the UK dealers to embrace e.commerce, especially FB in promoting their business and products.

But the ongoing trend amongst manufacturers is to try to regulate or even stop on-line sales of their kit, so this FB type thing has to be to promote the specialist independent dealer.

So I am giving it a try, but do not know what I am doing so suggestions will be welcomed.

There you go with that 'yout' again Steve. I have told you about that before, what the heck is a 'yout'?

Does it refer to Kentish Man?

And you really should get on FB, then you can be as confused as I am. (I'm on twitter, and thats even more confusing)

"Yout" is what modern man call "Youth" innit:lol:

Joking aside, they are quite correct. Facebok, twitter, forums and Youtube are all potentially free ways of marketing in a day where a mainstream magazine advert can cost £1500 and get totally ignored.

I just don't go on Twitter or Facebook as I have no need to see what my friends are having for dinner or what their view on Corrie is:001_rolleyes:

Good luck with the exercise, hope it works out for you!
