What's on your bench today?

Done the mower today.

Easy job. Removed belts and then pulleys. On the bench the pulley where wobbling about. Centre bush had gone, new one fitted (not oem) now tight. Back together and test run. Perfect.

These little mtd ride ons are quick when they are in high gear. Scary turning on a steep slope at full chat...:blushing:

Variable pulley was all good. No touching on the centre. And free to move up and down. Was missing a spacer washer at the bottom. Replaced also.

Sharpend another mower blade.

And still waiting on a meteor piston and cylinder kit aswell. Getting twitchy waiting for it as I really want to check out the cylinder.

Feels like I'm the only one doing any work latley.

The piston cylinder kit turned up from meteor this morn. And I'm impressed.

The piston is the usual high standard from meteor.

The cylinder is also perfect. Comes in a grey/black colour, the pot is nice and shiny, may need honing a little. The ports are good. Intake is a little rough but exhaust is nice and smooth.

The ports are also beveled nicely.

So its a thumbup from me so far. Will be fitting soon.

What's it for Rich. Doesn't look like an MS200 that I thought you said it was for!

Just got Mattys "Low Use" MS260 back together, make mental note......not to buy a used car off him:thumbup: the thing gad been seized and had a few scores but defied logic and makes 190psi compression!

Sent the Jonnie 2171 out, just taching two MS200TS and porting a 372XP!

There is one small issue I have noticed with the ports. The finish for the cylinder lining has left a sharp edge on on side of each port. They are beveled but I will file this down smooth. It's the sort of thing that can break off and get into the cylinder causing a mess.

Can just make it out on the pic. Sticking up about a mm from the bottom (on the pic, but top if cylinder the right way up)

Fitted the pot and piston morning. Nice tidy pot.

Psi was 180 at fitting so running it up a bit and doing another test.

Removed the edge with emery before fitting but the beveled edges where fine so left them. If it aint broke and all that.

Saw running like a dream aswell.

Looks like I am going international now, sending out a repaired saw to Sweden:thumbup: Already done a couple to France and repairs as far afield as Isle of Mull, Isle of Man, Scotland, Cornwall, Wales....not done Ireland yet!

Just got the last MS200T to tach, the MS260 to tach and the 372XP to port!
