Pallet boxes anyone?

I have acquired a few of these pallets and they are great. Once the logs are seasoned, you can lift the pallet over your truck with a forklift and undo a few bits of wire and the one side swings open so the logs can fall out. Saves emptying it by hand!!

Where did you see them for sale? I wouldn't mind a load of them but I bet they're pricy!

I think they're about £6 plus vat and delivery, but that'll depend on the amount purchased. I don't own them (yet) but have asked the owner for a price for 50, 100, or 200.

They're in Lincs, and I believe they can stack 10 high so it'll be from £60-ish quid per ten for transport, again more will mean less per unit.

That's reasonable. I have been making cage pallets with stock fencing but each one costs about £5 to make. I would much rather pay the little extra and have more of those pallets. They should last years with a bit of care.

Have you got the suppliers website/ contact details?

Don't have the details myself. That pic was emailed to me by a friend "you like that log and tree stuff don't you mate" I've asked for actual prices as opposed to the ~ish prices.

I put the thread up to see if there would be a market for him to sell these, it seems there may well be?

Do they fold up or something to stack flat? They do look really useful. I've got one similar which a load of willow shoots were delivered in but it's fixed and at the mo we use it for a (large) kindling store.

I bet there would be a good market for them with the caveat that they are heavy and low value so shipping them around is going to cut into the cost effectiveness of them.

The sides are all one piece with wire holding it all together and they will fold up for storage. To assemble them, all you do is slot in a small rail (at the bottom of the sides) into a rebate around the pallet and then theres a few loops of wire to fold over to hold it all together.... Simples!

Sorry people, dissapointing news. "They don't have any in stock" is what I was told, "but have a regular supply, so call again next month and we'll probably have some more in." Quite annoying as I first was told they had about 400. I think these go about as quick as they come in.

So I know if I need to pursue this, could anyone that would like some of these let me know, either on this thread or PM me. They'll cost £6 plus vat (but I might be able to discount for high numbers, say 100+).

Sorry, thanks, Daniel
