no,heavy thin,ash,sycamore,4" poles to 18" stuff.to be fair it was a sequence of events but no more clues!

the saw had been stuck into a log and while you were away getting a felling lever or another saw something/someone drove into the saw with either a truck or forwarder...... but must of been moving slow not to damage the saw???????

Looks like the work of a splitter to me but not sure how you would end up with the bar in the dangerous end of a working splitter!
