was told by both utilities project supervisor and by client who runs marketing company that 60% is a healthy ratio

 

Did they give you any sound business reasons for this??

So if you get 60% of your jobs you bid on and you have all of your fixed and variable cost covered and you still have no profit left for yourself at the end of the work week is that really healthy or do you most people like to work for nothing?

win 100% too cheap. win 20%either too expensive or maybe other issues (reputation,presentation etc)50%+ pretty good i would think. just trying to contribute. is that a problem ?

It all depends on you geographical location. I've worked for a company in Leicester, one in Henley upon thames and now run my own in north Devon all day rate prices are different, although I wish I could get away with the day rate of the Henley company down here. This time next year rodders!
