so after chucking a couple of ton of rings onto it it finally collapsed :001_rolleyes: so today i spent half the day with gareth off here and his mate who works in workshop at lotus got him to weld me some squares etc up and now its as solid as a rock just needs painting now :thumbup1:

i can see that idea being copied

 

I have got one on my landy tipper, I had it 4 years now and it's great, I too have a vice fitted on the drop down flap, it's a great work bench.

you can bolt a chain to the tailgate and then drill a hole in the tipper floor and lower the tipper onto the chain to lock it that way would be the safest option. plus then you can use the same chain to hold the tailboard level so you could attach a vice to it for sharpening.

 

thats a good box pal,keeps everything out of sight

 

we've put our vice onto the chipper.we got a tw 150 and there are two handy holes in the top of it that a small bench vice bolts straight onto.its a great height to work at too,will try to get pic of it tommorrow. just an idea thought id share :)

It already has, Rupe put pic's of his up months ago.

 

Mine is not like that though, on mine the chip box is narrower than the width of the tipper so that leaves a gap down the side, only big enough for poles saws and rakes and stuff though, not kit bags or saws.
