How different is the level 4 tech cert delivery compared to the level 5 FdSc? Is there a significant increase in knowledge obtained between the two levels?

Sent from Rob's GalaxySII

Just answered part of that on Bundles "Bio Security" thread Rob.

I can't comment on the Lev 5 FdSc as i have no experience of that.

The 'new' Lev 4 is now a unit based portfolio affair with internal assessment.

A couple of the units can transfer over on to the lev 6

Can be awarded at either certificate or diploma depending on how many credits one acheives through the compulsary & additional units.

No exams or management day this time round.

Blimey, that was a little tougher than I expected it to be.

Literally just put my 66th & final assignment to bed last Friday.

Now awaiting the external moderation process.

It's been a very thought provoking & resource collecting year, with a fine lecturer in Mr Summerley :thumbup1:

The 8 units will definately serve me well as a good platform resource that (I think) has & will make me a more rounded arborist.

Hats off to those of my fellow students going straight on to do the 2 year level 6 Professional Diploma after the Level 4.

I need a break
