Just a heads up that if anyone is still debating whether to enrol this year, there are still (some) places available at Barchams (near Ely) for this Tree Life run course.

QCF Level 4

Feel free to contact Keely at Tree Life or myself, for further information.

Thanks

David

Hi David,

Is it worth mentioning this qualification replaces the 'old' Tech Cert in Arb which, as I understand it, stays at level 3?

As an aside, in terms of Arb Association membership levels, from Jan. 2012 Technician Member will be levels 3/4 and Professional Member level will be 5/6 (the only exception to this is HNC Arb which will remain as an acceptable level qualification for Prof Member til 2013.)

Thanks..

Paul

So as an associate with one years membership, and one year FdSc completed would I qualify for professional membership in two years when I complete my foundation?

Yup, provided you keep your 'Associate' membership continuous you would qualify for Prof. Member, i.e. M.Arbor.A ...gud eh?!

Cheers..

Paul

Not at all David, as soon as you click on the link button the Treelife website states that straight away anyway, just 'thinking out loud' to be honest.

Hope all's well.

Paul

Very well thanks Paul, made the move & pleased that I have.

Now have the time to invest in more study than I had previously.

Don't think I can make it up for Conference this year, please say hello to all at the AA for me :001_smile:

I have two years left on my fdsc, my associate membership has lapsed unfortunately. Providing i pass the fdsc in two years time and renew my associate membership now what level will i be. I thought i would be a level4, but has that now changed? Goal post moving is very confusing! :)

I think you have to have 3 years membership and a level 5 or above to become a professional member, 3 years membership and a level 3 or above to become a technical member.

But I'm not sure If that 3 years membership has to be consecutive or not?
