The petzl harness can written off before use if you read the specs. My motion is over 4.5 years old-ive changed the webbing, padding etc.. and it still feels like its straight out of the box.

i have been climbing in my tree motion full time for almost 2 years and it was second hand when i got it! it's still in perfect working order.

best bet is go to a dealer and try both though bro or try and borrow for a day and see what works for you.To make things difficult, ive tried friends motions on and hated them as they were set up differently to mine-its massively down to personal preference but i wouldnt even consider getting anything else.

I have a skylotec, which I have no problems with at all and find really comfy but I just recently purchased a treemotion and there's no comparison once you're in the tree.Bite the bullet and shell out the cash for the motion, you won't regret it.

I agree, the Treemotion is by far the best, once you get it set, it is about as close to perfect as saddles get.

6 hours in a Manitoba maple today and I feel good :) never was uncomfortable at all.
