ok mate, would you say its still good with a smaller bar as im not on massive trees just building experience and confidence but cheers for the advice. :001_smile:

 

I run an 18" bar on mine, it cuts really well :thumbup1:

357 are fantastic, feels like a big saw in a little body

 

As a slight digression, what's the opinion on the 372XP? It's a good bit cheaper than the 576XP/MS441/MS460 and a bit lighter too (at the expense of power admittedly). There are a lot of good saws in the 70-80cc class.....

 

I really like my 372. Can't compare it to the 576 as never used one but find it nicer to handle than the 440 and 441. Never ran bigger than a 20" on it but in softwood it will pull that on an 8 tooth rim and semi chisel.

 

I reckon in a few years, the 372 will be a bit like the 242's now - everyone will be buying them up on ebay once they stop making them :001_smile:
