JCB 412 farm master - brakes

I have a JCB 412 farm master year 1991. The brakes are not working fully on it and I was hoping to repair it myself. I have to apply a lot of pressure to the brake pedal in order to stop the loader - does someone know what might be the problem?

brake fluieds a good start !! check for leaks, or drive slower ,

change the oil in the axle and make sure its the correct type as oil immersed brakes have special additives these break down and affect braking efficiency the give away is usually they squawk when you are braking

when u say press harder do u mean u have to get the pedal closer to the floor than u used to or that it requires more effort to get it to the same position

the first i would do as above

the second i would think is a servo problem probally a vacume leak

If it's JCB, you just drag the bucket on the ground if you want to stop.

to test place your foot firmly on the pedal with the engine off and start the engine if the pedal sinks the servo is fine if it doesn't theres a problem
