I only had limited time at the show on fri and tried to fit it all in and found it quite a chore this really meaning that there was a great deal on display. Entry fee was quite steep and food was absolute s*%* but you do come to expect that.Good to catch up and put a face to the name of a few arbtalkers and good to get a few bargains as well. The layout was also good in that all the arb related stuff was kept together then all the big stuff was on the walk circuit. One thing that was a miss was the lack of enthusiam for the lumberjacks, think i heard a few people clap for guys that had come from bloody miles away. they do seem to draw people to events but if no one shows any appreciation then they probaly wont bother showing up.

gonna do some work bye

i thought the location was great but the food was crap and too expensive and the entry fee was a tad pricey!!!! over all though i enjoyed the whole experience, i recon there should of also been a big board with all the start dates on for the carving, pole climbing and lumberjack sports up as it would of made life a bit easier

Agree re food, price, etc, etc.

Think the demo circuit could have been in two sections to make it easier.

Thought the maps where utter pants. OK having a map for each area but there should have been an overview/full site layout so poeple could keep thier bearings.

Appreciate the feedback re arb demo stuff. I was actually working on a demo stand for most of the show. Part of the stand was a have-a-go climbing, if I get chance next APF I will try to get the college to let us do a sectioning down demo or something similar at least once a day.

Interesting point re cost - I was told (but cant verify) that on the husqvarna demo stand where you had chance to try out some of thier saws, they (husqvarna) where charged £18/tree that was felled .
