Tractors

Did anyone listen to some of the comments on Radio 2 today. Vanessa Phelps was asking the general public their views on being held up by slow moving traffic such as tractors/trailers, combines etc.

Joe public was suggesting that tractors only be allowed on the roads between 10pm and 6am, amongst other things.

Are these people really so far removed from life as not to be aware where their daily bread comes from?

The same people who suggested the 10-6 idea are probably the ones who would moan about the noise at night! We had some grockels (tourists) moan about the noise when had to launch the lifeboat at 3am, apparently the noise of us firing the twin cat engines up and tearing off at full revs to help a sinking boat and search for 2 missing crew members spoilt their entire holiday!!!

TOWNIES! These are the same people who think milk comes from tescow and not a cow!

Spot on james, townies move into villages but want the town life, ive known of people moving to a village, buying a house next to a pig farm, then complaining to the council about the smell and squealing when they are fed. I believe this problem started when maggie (MY HERO) sold the council houses. They are now full of townies, which is why the village pubs are closing as well.

now if all the farmers just got a mog then there wouldnt be a problem:thumbup:

Ive been using a tractor the nearest thing to a mog (fastrac), but can a mog pull a 16 ton trailer, pull a 5 furrow plough? if it can and im guessing that a new mog is a lot less than a fastrac £90,000 ish then it would make sense to swap , especially with the fastracs electronic problems.
