width is an issue, but what actually makes a trailer more or less responsive is the distance from the hitch to the first axle on the trailer, the longer that distance is the easier to reverse. Thats why an artic is easier than a tranny & tinnywolf chipper.

I do struggle to see how chipper manufturers can make a chipper wider and/or longer without making it heavier unless they skimp on materials elsewhere.

A six inch section of axle tube will weigh all of a couple of pounds. Just a case of putting a six inch wider Bradley axle on.

Dean i totally agree with what your saying, been trying to back a 150TW with a transit ! i think i would need a 12 inch axle widening to see this little monster.

As for the question i wouldn`t buy a 150 i would buy a 190 all the way if i had to buy a TW. if i hada choice i think i would buy a schlizing 220 for a small robust decent chipper.

Same as any piece of machine from chippers to tractors if you could mix all the makes togeather and take all the good points from each one then you would have a decent piece of kit.
