Has anyone ever sold garden Land and been involved with an option agreement. How did it turn out. Did the developer stitch you up at the 11th hour with a poor value ? . I have looked on line for info but no one ever seems to appraise or complain.

I would imagine at the moment its a win win win situation for the developer at the moment. In my opinion options are advantageous for the developer leaving the seller sitting twiddling their thumbs hoping and unable to move forward. You could always turn it around and sell it with an uplift clause.

You've got to remember an option usually works best for the developer not you , he sees an oportunity gets you to agree a price and prevents you from taking other bids while he looks around for a profit . AS dave martin says go for uplift clause , which they won't really go for unless they can see a return , thats if they're serious .
