While reliability is important, dealer back-up is just as important.

Its all well if you your Kubota breaks down only half as much as that ChinCrap, it's not that relevant when the ChinCrap mech is on site same day and the others leave you waiting and wanting. You need to try and find out about the reputation of whoever is near you, and what back-up service they offer. It may be better to ask some local gardening firms etc who they use and choose your vehicle from whatever they offer.

I dont know what its like with the tractors but we see alot of chinese diesel gensets which run for a few hundred hrs if your lucky. If someone rings up we dont want them in the workshop some turn up at the door but we turn them away. Some spares are virtually impossible to get within a few months especially if they change the model.

Nobody wants a mechanic on site on a regular basis though, especially if you are paying him for the privilage! By buying a reliable brand, you will see very little of him.
