I stopped a little over a year ago after double pneumonia, 3x pleurosie, and atelacsis! Even now I get into a situation and think a smoke would be good, a transport cafe with a lid of tea, a pub with Beer and the sun coming through the window, stuck in traffic and after a stressful moment.

Stick to it and have the strength and perseverance. Best of luck to you.

2 an a half years now since my last smoke, never looked back, giving up is easy.... if you want to give up!!

i can stand with people smoking, drive whilst people are smoking, was asked to hold a lit cigarette for one of the girls whilst she ran to the office to answer the fone, 're-formed' smokers annoyed me when i smoked so i was determined to not become one!!!!! i do miss having a big fat cigar on xmas day thou!!!!!!

I have had the odd smoke or two since giving up 2 years ago.

Never felt like starting up again, but they tasted better than I can ever remember.:001_huh:

To me its not the nicotine at all that held me to the cigs its the habit that surrounds them.

It is the best thing you can do to improve your health so stay with the quitting and remember you aint a failure if you go back, just as long as its not permanent.
