Stihl Loggers Tape Replacement

Today the Black bit came off my tape,can I buy a replacement tape or do I need to replace the whole Reel too?

You can get spares for all bits of them.

you can replace just the tape, there's a thread on here somewhere on how to retension the spencer ones, which might be the same as the stihl one.

 

Seen somewhere that you can even get the rivets to repair a cracked tape.

Handy to know.20meter Tapes cost over £100 here.I'll try harder to find a replacement.I've got a nice bit of Starter Cord hanging off mine at the minute.

Spencer 15/20/25m tape - £27,£30,£33 respectively.

 

Exactly the same tape with red anodising, inferior pin and Oregon written on it - a £10er more respectively and then

 

Have an orange one with Stihl written on it and it costs double!!!
