In my world that button would be attached to a rocket launcher built in to the front grille, to be used on the muppets who think a loaded truck and chipper can stop like their piece of junk Nissan when the jump in front of you 50 feet before the slip road and jump on the brakes because they don’t have the ability to take the exit at the speed they thought they could.

Is it a Runlock switch, so you can leave your engine running & take your keys out the ignition.

 

Try starting it up, pressing the button with hand break on and not touching the pedals. Then see if you can take the keys out without the engine stopping.
