Yeah sorry ace was with the inlaws although took them for a walk down the lane and walked passed your house to which they thought i was weird and stalking you, i see you doing some fencing along the main leomster-eardisland road. the sweet chestnut are croft castle hama and fallen lime.

my last little lot fruiting bodies are on the copper beech which appears to have had a heavy reduction aka topped but will have to check some old pics of when i went a few years ago hopefully its in a shot

Looks like you was a stones throw from mine. Croft castle are our neibours. Did you go down to the end of chestnut grove there is some big s chetnut at the end shame there all dieing. If your down this way again let us know

If u go to croft castle go to a area called fish pool vally, Some great big 150ft + firs,

I have work at croft castle for over 20 years, Great number of trees to look at, Have

a look for the oak it is at the rear of the castle, it would take 20 people holding hand

to get round it, Great day out if you love big trees.

ah really? aha how did you know it was our place? If you had kept going like half a mile you would have come top our wood yard :001_smile:

Ah really? Yeah it was for a mate whos got a posh portaloo company, and he was towing one of the loos when the tow bar on the disco snapped and it went through the hedge, fair size hole it made too! i had to put a 30ft post and rail fence!
