The final day of the boardwalk. Could have knocked it out in two days if the person organising the build had ordered enough timber and realized we could have got our trailer across the field:001_rolleyes:. Never mind glad to see the back of the farm for now. The bloke in the second pic is this years apprentice and he is a cracking bloke. I've met him and worked with him before and we can have a right laugh at work about anything and everything.

Not a bad end to what has been a crap week. Decided to have a gurt burn up in the fire pit today. The wind was blowing the right way to start with but soon swung round and blew the wrong way but we decided not to stop but only loaded the clean burning stuff. Got an action shot of one of our apprentices loading a fork full of brambles into the fire. I also got a video of a large ball of brambles we through on. The pessimistic and sarcy comments are from a young lad who does nothing but rip the piss out of everyone and is doing a Level 2 Diploma in countryside management at a local agri college. He said it was ridiculous we had to burn up all the green waste we had collected anf stored over the year and why we didn't chip it all. He was also moaning about the ferociousness of the fire ha ha. I did ask if he would like a cold fire in the winter and also pointed out that the fire is only a small one in comparison to the monument fires.
