Got a week of gate installing for a change. Got the first gate done this afternoon after a morning of fiddle arsing about getting bits together. Dropped the gates off for tomorrow at the farm so will be picking them up and taking them to the next field.

Another day, another gate. We are part way through the next gate in the bottom of the field so will be putting the hoops in and then working on the final gate on the same path which is gonna be a right pig. Got a scaffold pole to remove as well as a stile and to try and orientate the gate and hoop so it is not impeding the land owners access.

Cheers bud. They would have been put in last year but the landowner could see our reasoning as why not to. His fields despite being on free draining chalk were like bogs. He has 3 springs in the fields we are working in. Nice and dry but bugger me the ground is like concrete this year.

Had a bit of a woopsie with the handflail today. Was reversing to get the deck out from the grabbing brambles and it slid down the bank.:lol:Got it back out though. Luckily the boss saw the funny side of it.

Been there Matt. Go backwards and you go down the bank. Go forwards and you go down the bank!!

Managed to double roll our flail and it ended upside down. We brush cut that bit now:001_smile:

Back to the same site tomorrow but luckily this part has been mown enough as we can only get one pass each side. The next patch we are knocking back two widths either side where possible.
