The final day of college. Was a dull morning stuck in a computer room but the teachers asked about any special things we have achieved out of work and done in our own time so i brought up this thread. Everyone loved it. All the comments, pictures and "Arb slang" dotted about in the various threads i have started. They took alot of interest in this thread in particular and had alot of questions asked about various posts. Spent the afternoon in a bird hide then walking around a site known as Holton Lee (the Poole crew will know where that is). We did a Redshank survey which was cool. My ID skills came into their own this afternoon. We had a spare hour to kill as the tide came in so gave everyone a talk on the body language of the Oak trees on the site and explained why they are being left to their own devices.

This thread is like groundhog day, it shows another page on my computer but when I click it I go back to the top of the previous one

Not alot to report other than another site hay cut. This site is our flagship site. Despite the site being 15.58 acres (only about 12 hectares is grass) we get a very poor yield off the hay crop but it has been done late in the past two years until now. We usually only get about 15 bales of the entire site but due to the public usage we are not allowed to spread organic muck on it.

Ass end of nowhere, limited/no phone signal, a mile from the van up a narrow, rough bridleway and get a ruddy puncture. No spare and its tubed too with a 2 inch thorn poking out the sidewall. Beer is required hauling that lump up the hill.

 

Both tyres will now have ruberised foam in the tyres to be 100% puncture free. Currently have the old tyres of our old beast with foam filled tyres.
