L200 Super-cab tipper

Back in the depths of the winter when my Transit couldn't go out in the snow I started looking at these.

Supercab would mean all the saws and kit could be locked away on the back seats, and the legal weight capacity was the same as the Tranny.

The small volume of the back put me off a bit.

Anyone got any experience with them?

We ran one for a while, althought the back hadnt been converted to a tipper. It wasnt great, not really a work horse, might suit a hair dresser who did tree work at the weekends. If you catch my drift.

The tipper version is much more of a work vehicle Tom. Less bells and whistles.

Having said that, all the lads round here who have the standard doublecab have the old shape, not the gay new curvy one.

The capacity is fairly good Mark , as for the lockers they are biult into the tipper . the great thing about having a truck like this is that you can get into smaller sights or areas where acess is only a little wider than a foot path . we use ours along side the unimog to carry kit and timber but from time to time we stick a cipper behind it and get into areas that most other firms with a transit can not get to .

i personally would say that it is a worthwhile tool .

Thanks Dave.

The back capacity is the bother, because I would run it as my only vehicle.

Regularly leave site with 5m3 or so in the Tranny.

More if we have been drinking and taking drugs.

to be honest if you need that sort of capacity and have it as your only truck then i would not bother.

This has got to be the worst attempt at a crew cab tipper , the chip box is only about 2 foot wide it blows more chip out than it holds . But as the Green Machine says "We lead We Learn" !!! No comment
