my .25-06 is a T3 but has a shortened barrel so that may not be helping, but i have found winchester and remington the best through mine, and to be honest the winchesters are about £1.90 a shot but i may use 20 on a range day, so just under £40's worth and then probably that again through a season. so not huge amounts of cost for me.

for the cost of £1 saving in a bullet for a deer carcase i cant see the point in cheap ammo unless your working for DCS  I like to have a deer rifle that shoots consistantly in any conditions sub 1.5" groups any more than that and there are getting to many variables, but a lot of my shooting isnt woodlands its open ground. How many rounds a year are you using?

Well over 2000 rounds last year through the rifles I own :blushing:

I wont use them if they arnt consistant in the .243 but the company produce most calibers of ammo so if they're good then I could save quite a few quid over a year :001_smile:

Just to stir the pot a bit :D The likes of Fed/Remmy/RWS/Lapua/Sake have lots of problems. I stopped using Federal for anything after three rounds from two batches had no powder in. One of the cost me a cracking staggie too :(

it seems they shoot well in Tikka's and Sako's which suits me :thumbup1: .

Not sure on that, my sako 308 got inconsistent groups with PPU 150gr, but hornady sst are sub 1/2" @ 100yds. Will try PPU in the new 243 when it turns up.

The cases reload nicely so not a waste even if they don't group.

Brought some .22's for my ruger the other day, shocked how much they had gone up in price. I know they cost a few quid but i use remington 75grain v-max in my sako 75 .243, they are the best rounds i've ever used !

.17 mach 2 are roughly the same price now as they were 4 years ago 14p ish a shot But HMR has gone from 18p to 28p a pop. Thats an extra £5 a box :scared:

Heard on here that its nearly as cheap to reload 22-250 that buy Hmr which sounds tempting if true
