splicing workshop nr dorchester

I'm keen, is it a start from scratch course or for people who can already splice abit anyway?

 

If Mr Shutler is going then it might be a bit too advanced for me, I have never doen any splicing!

 

I've just taught myself mate. But could do with some double braid tips. Also interested in the CE side of things

its a start from scratch type of course,for those that aint from round these parts you could always contact nod yourselves and see if you could do something similar i believe he's based in bucks, i should also stress that the course is to be held nr dorchester dorset not dorchester oxfordshire as was just pointed out to me thanks for that mr robinson:thumbup:

Dorchester dorset is ok for me, I'm in. If by first week of september you mean full first week as in 5th september then late that week would be good.

 

Actual dates are my only proviso, give us confirmed dates and I will confirm.

would love to rupe but its a bit catch 22 i need to get the course full before i can confirm with nod,can we say first week starting the 5th if your in then we could provisionally say thurs or fri 8th or 9 th

Yes thats perfect. I usually go to greece that week but the flights are monday to monday so I would be back 5th september and unlikely to want to do much work!!

 

If its 8th or 9th then put me down as definate.

Thanks for taking the time & making the effort to organise this workshop, it makes alot of sense for me to travel once than for 6-8 people to travel once. Airmiles & all that!!

 

Anyhow, for those interested in the workshop in Dorchester it will involve practical training in all types of 16 strand rope splicing. During the day we cover rope technology, splicing tools, CE certification, competancy & any other matters that affect or influence the splicing of arborist rope. This workshop has been presented many times during the past 6 years with many satisfied individuals happily leaving with sore hands.

Tools will be supplied for the duration of the workshop & are available to purchase at the end of the day. Check out past threads on splicing workshops for any comments regarding quality & content of the days proceedings.
